The National Communications Commission (NCC) has issued a directive mandating the addition of the prefix “02” to all existing 01 numbers in Nigeria, effective January 1st. The aim is to make the number of digits 11, matching the same number of digits as GSM numbers.
What this means for you:
From January 1st, you need to add “02” in front of your 01 number for callers to reach you. Example: If your PressOne number is 013306119, your new phone number format will be 02013306119.
