PressOne Africa: Highlights from Q2 and Plans for Q3



I hope you are well. Q2 was a whirlwind. The exchange rate was floated, subsidy was removed, ease of doing business did not get better. But we are entrepreneurs, we are relentless. So, well done.

At PressOne Africa, you are our most important stakeholder, and your support has been invaluable. As CEO, I’m excited to share some highlights from Q2 and what we’re planning next.


Highlights from Q2 2023:

  1. We launched PressOne Call Intelligence. This feature detects unhappy customers calls, so you don’t have to listen to every call recording. This has the potential to transform the quality of customer interactions within your business. Learn more.
  2. We integrated Freshdesk and HubSpot. Now you can speak with customers directly from both platforms, and have all customer interactions in one place. There are almost 100 telephony apps on HubSpot marketplace, only one works for businesses in Nigeria. That is PressOne Africa. We are committed.
  3. We introduced PressOne Africa – Quick Call. In my previous update, I mentioned we were working on a new app to tackle the incoming call issues. We delivered. Now you can receive incoming calls even when the app is not open. it is only available on Android devices for now. It will be available on Apple phones in Q3.
  4. Call transfer works. Now if you receive a call, and you need someone else to engage the customer, you can transfer the call to that person no matter where you are.
  5. We reintroduced Call Notes. It works better now.
  6. We improved login experience with one time passwords (OTP). It was impossible to guarantee OTP delivery over SMS. So we built our own OTP engine to deliver through phone calls, the Voice OTP.
  7. You can now download call reports for any desired period, enabling you to gain insights and analyse data according to your specific needs.


Plans for Q3:

Our focus in Q3 will be on refining the PressOne experience. We want to improve every aspect of the experience and we need your help. Please reply with any issue you have faced in the past, or what you would like to see improve on PressOne.

While we focus on further improving our quality of service and product experience, there are still a few things to look forward to.

  1. We are rolling out additional international numbers. UK, Canada, South Africa, and India are top of the list. If you have a country you want us to prioritise, simply respond to this email and let me know.
  2. We will integrate with Zendesk, and Intercom. Our goal is simple, we want to give you the ability to call customers directly from whatever you use to email them, and have all that conversation in one place.
  3. We will build new dashboards. To allow you view reports and make sense of your business engagements over phone calls.
